🌱 Sustainability at Threada
Responsible production isn’t a marketing add-on for us. It’s built into how we operate.
We produce on demand, fund verified environmental projects and work with suppliers actively reducing their impact - all while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.

Responsible by design
Sustainability starts with our production model.
We operate on an on-demand basis. We don’t bulk manufacture speculative stock or warehouse garments that may never be used. Every order is sourced, decorated and fulfilled as required.
That reduces unnecessary waste from day one.
Carbon-offsetting on every order
Every order placed with Threada contributes to verified environmental projects through our partner, Greenspark.
For each order we Offset 10kg of carbon and Fund the planting of one tree in Brazil
These projects are independently verified and transparently tracked.
We focus on measurable contribution.

Responsible supply chain
We source garments through a network of established UK distributors and brand partners.
While we don’t manufacture the garments ourselves, we are deliberate about who we work with. We prioritise suppliers who demonstrate responsible practices across environmental management, packaging reduction, energy usage and ethical labour standards.
Many of the brands available through Threada hold recognised environmental and social accreditations, including:
- Organic material certifications
- Recycled fibre standards
- Ethical trade and labour certifications
- Environmental management systems
Where garments form part of certified sustainable collections, this is clearly identified on the product page so customers can make informed decisions.
Responsibility doesn’t stop at our production floor - it extends across our supply chain.

Lower impact delivery
We ship the majority of UK orders using DPD.
DPD operates one of the UK’s largest electric delivery fleets and continues investing in lower-emission transport across its network.
Transport carries environmental impact - that’s unavoidable. But working with couriers actively transitioning their fleets supports meaningful industry progress.

Sustainable garment options
For businesses looking to go further, we offer a growing range of garments made from:
- Organic cotton
- Recycled polyester
- Regenerated fibres
- Lower-impact dye processes
These options are available across selected brands and garment ranges, and can be filtered within relevant categories.
Sustainability should be a choice - not a compromise on quality.

As we grow, so does our contribution
Our environmental contributions scale with every order placed.
The more businesses we support, the more carbon is mitigated, trees are funded and verified projects receive backing.
We will continue to publish transparent updates as the business grows.
