For the best print quality, please supply your artwork as:
- High-resolution PNG, PDF or EPS files
- CMYK colour mode where possible
- Ganged within a 540mm × 1000mm sheet
- Fonts converted to outlines and all linked images embedded
- A transparent background where possible
Please do not mirror your artwork – we'll do this during production.
For the best results
- Supply artwork at 300dpi at full print size.
- Avoid very small text or extremely fine lines, as these may not transfer cleanly.
- Flatten transparency effects where possible and avoid excessive shadows, glows, feathering and opacity effects, as these can produce unexpected print results.
- Check your artwork carefully before uploading to ensure colours, spelling, sizing and positioning are correct.
Important: We do not carry out artwork checks or make amendments before printing. Your order will be produced exactly as the files are supplied, so please ensure you're happy with your artwork before placing your order.

How to Press DTF transfers
Our DTF transfers arrive ready to press. No extra adhesive required.
Trim your design as needed, position it on the garment, and apply using a heat press.
Cotton Garments (100% Cotton)
- Preheat the garment for 10 seconds to remove moisture. Allow to cool.
- Place the transfer white side down, with the image facing up.
- Press at 150°C for 10 seconds using very firm pressure.
- Remove from the press and allow the garment to cool until warm.
- Peel the film warm or cold.
- Cover the design with parchment or Teflon and repress for 10 seconds to seal.
Polyester & Poly/Cotton Blends
- Preheat the garment for 10 seconds to remove moisture. Allow to cool.
- Place the transfer white side down, with the image facing up.
- Press at 120°C for 15 seconds using very firm pressure.
- Remove from the press and allow the garment to cool until warm.
- Peel the film warm or cold.
- Cover the design with parchment or Teflon and repress for 10 seconds to seal.
Top tip:
If the film does not release cleanly, place it back under the press with the film in position, repress, allow to cool slightly, and peel again.
Dispatch & Delivery
All Threada ULTRA DTF™ Transfers ordered before 12:00 noon (Monday–Friday) are eligible for same day dispatch. Orders placed after 12:00 noon will be printed and dispatched on the next working day.
Orders over £99 ex. VAT qualify for free standard delivery.
Choose your preferred delivery service at checkout, including Royal Mail and DPD, with a range of standard and express options available.
Whilst we work hard to achieve our same day dispatch target, it is not guaranteed and may occasionally be affected by production volumes or unforeseen circumstances.
Orders placed on weekends will be dispatched on Monday, and orders received on UK bank holidays will be printed and dispatched on the next working day.
Garment Care Instructions
To keep your Threada ULTRA DTF™ Transfers looking their best, we recommend following these care guidelines:
- Wash garments inside out at 30°C.
- Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
- Do not dry clean.
- Do not tumble dry and where possible air dry for best results.
- Do not iron directly onto the printed transfer. If ironing is required, turn the garment inside out or place a protective cloth over the design.
- Avoid excessive heat, as this can affect the longevity of the transfer.
We recommend following the wash instructions on the garment tag for the best results.
Following these care instructions will help maintain the colour, adhesion and durability of your printed garments wash after wash.

Artwork proofs are usually issued within 2 working days of receiving your order.
